<p class="Paragraph">Some passwords in <help:productname>%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname> can be saved. This saving applies according to context and dialog either for the duration of the current <help:productname>%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname> session, or it is permanently stored in a file.</p>

<p style="">Passwords are stored permanently for access to WebDAV services and FTP, provided that in the corresponding dialogs you mark the <span style="font-weight:bold;">Save password</span> check box and enter a master password.</p>

<p style="">If you do not enter a master password, the passwords are only saved for the duration of the current <help:productname>%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname> session.</p>

<p style="">If the saving is permanent in a file, the file is protected by the master password. If in a new <help:productname>%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname> session you access a permanently saved password for the first time, you are automatically first asked for the master password. If you enter it correctly, all permanently saved passwords are known and are not asked for again in the current <help:productname>%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname> session.</p>
